This writing workshop will focus on the idea of mothers and what our mothers mean to us. Our relationship with our mothers is complex, beautiful, challenging, and sometimes even fraught with disappointment. Some have lost their mothers and wish to understand and explore grief as a pathway to healing. Some have living mothers and wish to understand the complexities of feelings and thoughts that arise because of this relationship.
We will use prompts to write about our mothers, such as:
Write a letter to your mother, expressing your emotions and thoughts.
Write a dialogue between your younger self and your mother.
Write a letter of gratitude to someone who served as a mother figure in your life.
Trisha cull will be your host and is an award-winning published author, BPD support group facilitator, and person with lived experience of BPD. Trish has been publishing in Canadian literary journals for the past twenty-five years.
